By the Honourable Jonathan Trumbull, Esquire, captain-general, governor, and commander in chief, of the state of Connecticut, by and with the advice of the Council of Safety To [blank] Esq; colonel, or to the commanding officer of the [blank] regiment of militia in said state, greeting: : Whereas I have received a requisition from His Excellency General Washington ... you are commanded ... to cause to be drawn and detached out of the regiment under your command ... to march to said Peck's-Kill without delay ... Given under my hand at Lebanon, in said state, the 17th day of March, A.D. 1777.
