Nikola Dimitrov

Official portrait, 2020 Nikola Dimitrov (born 30 September 1972) is a Macedonian politician and diplomat, who has served as Minister of Foreign Affairs for North Macedonia from 31 May 2017 to 30 August 2020. He also served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2000 and Macedonian ambassador to the United States and then the Netherlands. In 2014, he turned down an appointment as Macedonia's new ambassador to Russia.

Dimitrov, together with his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias, signed the Prespa agreement in 2018 in efforts of resolving the Macedonia naming dispute. As a result of this agreement, his country changed its name to North Macedonia. Provided by Wikipedia
